If you are planning to visit someone in the St. Clair County Jail, you will have to follow several rules and procedures.

What You Need to Know Before You Visit Someone in the St. Clair County Jail

  • To visit someone in the St. Clair County Jail, you must follow several rules and procedures.The St. Clair County Jail is located at 1170 Michigan Road in Port Huron. The phone number you can use during normal business hours is (810) 987-1700.
  • You cannot directly phone call an inmate. For a true emergency in which you need to contact an inmate, you may call (810) 987-1700 or (810) 987-1720.
  • If you plan to visit someone in the St. Clair County Jail, you must schedule the visit at least 24 hours in advance via videovisitanywhere.com.
  • Inmates are allowed one scheduled visit per week.
  • Only three people are allowed to visit an inmate at one time, including the children of the inmate.
  • Children under the age of 17 must have an adult with them.
  • Adult visitors must provide a photo ID, and children’s birth certificates must be on hand as well.
  • Visits may be monitored and recorded.
  • Visiting hours are 12:15 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, except for the 5 p.m. dinner hour.
  • Attorneys and members of the clergy may visit inmates from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with certain exceptions for internal jail procedures.
  • You may schedule remote visits via videovisitanywhere.com. Remote visits may be scheduled more often as long as they do not interfere with jail rules and procedures.

How to Bail Someone out of the St. Clair County Jail

After normal business hours, payments can be made at the St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office/St. Clair County Jail. Bail may be paid by cash bonds or credit cards.
